The Stella Program
The Stella Program invites law students, attorneys, prosecutors, judges, treatment teams, and anyone else interested in justice-involved veterans and Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) programs in Texas to immerse themselves in an evolving legal journey—a "Legal Odyssey"—that traces the growth and experiences of Gary R. Walp, a former justice-involved veteran turned advocate. The program’s core objectives are:
- To raise awareness of various legal issues that can create legal barriers for justice-involved veterans participating in veterans treatment court programs.
- To teach the value of passionate advocacy, equipping participants with the legal knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary to support and expand opportunities for justice-involved veterans to participate in VTC programs.
Using a comprehensive collection of "Learning Modules", the Stella Program encourages users to think deeply and explore alternative perspectives. By navigating this indepth educational experience, users will not only sharpen their legal acumen but also play a vital role in shaping the future of advocacy for justice-involved veterans, ensuring greater access to VTC programs in Texas.

The program is open to the public; however, some features, such as the dashboard and case studies require the user to create an account.
